we just got back from our trip to legoland new york and when i tell you this was one of our favorite “trips”, i’m not kidding!! at this point we have been to hershey park, disney world and we did a disney cruise. all of those were wonderful trips, but i really do love legoland new york guys because it is not a huge trip or to do. it is such an underrated place to visit for the night and my kids are obsessed. ezra was crying the whole way home asking if he can go back tomorrow. we went with another family with 3 kids same ages and it was a blast to do this together.

what i really loved about legoland was how it is truly catered to ages 3-12. it’s all about the kids there, so all the rides, activities and shows are for them. unlike other parks where there are some adult-themed rides or “bigger kid” rides or things to do too. it’s also very manageable to do in a few hours so even though it rained on and off for us, it was still a blast.

legoland new york is about an hour + from the city and it took us about 90 minutes with traffic going there (we left friday afternoon of MDW, prime traffic time) but going home saturday late afternoon, it took us just over an hour to get home. it was so fast! next time we’d probably just drive up for the day and not stay over since it’s so feasible to get there.
