my pantry staples guide: BAKING EDITION!
part two of my pantry tour. this time featuring all things you need to baking!
welcome to the next part of my pantry tour. so far we did snacks and today we chatting all things BAKING!
i started baking in middle school so you can trust that i take my inventory very seriously over here. i always try to find the “healthier” options within baking. which i do recognize sounds kind of hypocritical. but my goal with my type of baking is to satisfy my sweet tooth while also focusing on nutrients and not spiking my blood sugar at the same time.
random side bar but i can confidentially say that my desserts don’t spike my blood sugar personally. i had gestational diabetes for all 3 kids and i had to prick my finger all the time and thankfully banana bread, chocolate chip cookies and thankfully majority of my desserts don’t spike my blood sugar.
when it comes to flours, i do focus a lot on gluten-free because of jordan’s celiac. but i also do always say that if you sub all-purpose flour for gluten-free all purpose flour in my recipes, you should be golden!
here is what i keep in my pantry for baking. if you have these ingredients, you can likely make any of the dessert recipes on my website. i also like to decant a lot of these ingredients into these jars in my pantry.
